Community Garden - Work in Progress

Where we started from

Where we started from

Where we started from

We'd never hand the funds to deal with the rear and side of the building, but we knew something needed to be done with it. We could create something different.

Where we started from

Where we started from

Where we started from

Not the prettiest of locations, but a decent amount of land that could look good if we could get some financial support.

A lot of people believed in our plans.

We made a start

Where we started from

We made a start

So thanks to being granted a lot of funding mainly from The National Lottery, Ashington Town Council, The Gardening For Disabled Trust..........

Finished?

We made a start

....The Co-op Community Fund, The Aviva Community Fund, The Community Chest, donations from our own members and external supporters, we managed to achieve this.

Still work to do

We could do with a few more volunteers as this is a working project. Gardens need maintaining all the time, so there is always something to do.

Get involved

If you are elderly and have a passion for gardening, just get in touch and join our Gardening Club. We'd love to have you part of our charity. As a thank you to those helping with our flowers project we put on four free barbecues last summer.
