Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

Our certificate and crystal piece are proudly on display in our main activity room, safely housed in a cabinet designed and made by John Dobinson

The actual signature of HRH Queen Elizabeth II is on our official certificate. We are extremely proud and honoured to be in the last group she ever acknowledged

Our members can purchase official lapel badges, and the institute can use QAVS official emblems on all of its stationery.

The award is the equivalent of an individual MBE and it is for life.

We are extremely proud to have firstly been recognised, then nominated and 

finally accepted.

We were presented with our award by The Duchess of Northumberland at her Garden Party on 15th June, 2022

A group of our members attended the presentation event, where a tea was provided in Alnwick Gardens.
